Before starting any excavation work:
- Please contact Enaon’s EDA emergency call center according to your region
- Apply for information on the existence of a gas network
- Collection plans
- Receive the Excavation Permit before work begins
- Take the existence of a gas network into account in your study
- Comply with the safety measures and the instructions of Enaon EDA
- Ensure that the plans and the permit are available at the site throughout the work and that your workers are aware of them
Actions be taken in case of damage:
Damage to a natural gas pipeline
- Block the excavation and enclose the surrounding area
- Call Enaon’s EDA emergency call center according to your region for an assessment and evaluation of the damage to the pipeline
- Do not proceed with resurfacing before the completion of the meticulous inspection by Enaon EDA has been completed
In case of dismantling signs or cathodic protection risers
- Please contact Enaon’s EDA emergency call center according to your region

- Stop any work immediately
- Interrupt the operation of machinery
- Move away and contact the Contact the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) of Enaon EDA according to your region
- Fence off the dangerous area
- Remove technical personnel and residents
- Contact the police by dialing 100
- Do not attack – Do not attempt to repair the damage
