New Buildings

Following a certificate of the President of the TEE, the process of Approval of Gas Fuel Studies is carried out through the “e-Permits” information system, pursuant to article 215 of Law 4782/2021. Approval through the “e-Permits” system is mandatory and concerns New Studies and Amendments to Gas Fuel Studies, which are required for the issuance of Building Permits, Revisions and Updates. The studies are submitted to the Gas Distribution Companies enaon EDA and HENGAS per Municipality of their jurisdiction. Given that, at present, the entire country is not covered by Gas Distribution Companies, there are Municipalities without the possibility of submitting a study. The information system will be updated in the event of expansion of the network to additional Municipalities.

Specifically, they are considered:

New Fuel Gas studies
Amendments to Fuel Gas studies considered through the “e-Permits” system
Amendments to Fuel Gas studies that have been considered outside of the “e-Permits” system

Additionally, Certificates of inspection of a Fuel Gas installation for studies considered through “e-Permits” are granted exclusively through “e-Permits”. Certificates of inspection of a Fuel Gas installation for studies that have been considered through a previous procedure and have not been submitted to “e-Permits” are granted through the previous procedure.

The process of installing Fuel Gas in existing buildings for the activation of their internal installations and for which buildings do not require the issuance of a Building Permit, is carried out by submitting the data directly to the competent Gas Distribution Company, without submitting to “e-Permits”.
