Hellenic Gas Distribution Company Enaon EDA, a subsidiary of Enaon, informs consumers that, due to the low temperatures prevailing in the areas under its responsibility across the country, the implementation of basic preventive measures is recommended to ensure the smooth and safe operation of internal natural gas installations and hydraulic circuits, which fall under the consumer’s responsibility.
Indicatively, consumers should take the following measures:
- Contact and consult their licensed installer for the required operations of the boilers in case of frost.
- Check and ensure the proper insulation of the hydraulic installations of the heating systems in collaboration with their licensed plumber.
- Keep heating appliances in continuous operation during periods of low temperatures. In this context, it is recommended to maintain the thermostat at a constant temperature of 18°C to 20°C, even during short periods of absence, in order to maintain water circulation in the system and reduce the risk of freezing of pipes and other installation components.
Enaon EDA is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the Natural Gas Distribution Network up to consumers’ meters. It is reminded that the internal natural gas installation is the consumer’s responsibility in terms of maintenance and safe operation. For any technical issue, consumers should contact exclusively licensed installers, while for matters concerning the Distribution Network, Enaon EDA’s Emergency Response Service remains available at 800 11 87 87 8.
